When should I consider calling an electrician?

Do you provide commercial and residential services?

Yes, all of the electrical services that we provide are for commercial and residential customers.

Why would I need a new electrical circuit?

Depending on the circuit, you may have knob and tube, 2 wire with no ground or even a circuit that runs everything in your house! You can even have a circuit that has been tripping the breaker because of wear and tear, or it was poorly done in the first place.

What do I do if my circuit keeps overloading?

If you have a circuit that is overloaded the breaker should trip. Give us a call to balance that overloaded circuit by allowing us to come in and run a new circuit from the panel!

I have too many power strips behind my entertainment center and want to reduce the clutter. How can Simply Electric help me?

We can add some new outlets in the wall with no problems whatsoever! We can even put that TV on the wall with power behind the TV with no wires to be seen. Whatever you may need, Simply Electric’s technicians will be able to take care of you!

Do you install ceiling fans?

We do install ceiling fans, while making sure there is the proper box to secure the weight of the fan. We even can install and/or replace bath exhaust fans. This will make sure your bathroom fan is properly vented so you don’t have to worry about mold over the years!

How can I tell when an electrical outlet is not safe or needs to be replaced?

Usually, if you have two prong outlets with no ground it should be replaced to keep you safe! A loose outlet should be tightened or replaced to make sure you don’t cause future problems to occur. If you see cracks or black marks on the outlet, that is a good sign you need your outlet replaced.

Can you change an existing switch to a dimmer switch?

We can change a regular switch into a dimmer with no issues! We even can put new switches in if you have that color you don’t like! Sometimes we have customers that want to switch a light from an old location to a new location. We it all, whether it’s us running new wires or even putting in a wireless switch where it’s tough to fish a wire!

How do I know if I need an electrical panel upgrade?

If your breakers trip often, your lights dim when large appliances turn on, you still have a fuse box, or you are adding a major load like central air or an EV charger, it may be time for a panel upgrade. An outdated panel can struggle to keep up with modern demands and can become a safety risk. We will inspect your panel and tell you honestly whether an upgrade makes sense.

Do you offer emergency electrical service?

Yes. If you have a dangerous or urgent problem like sparking, a burning smell, or a sudden loss of power, call us right away and we will respond quickly. For most other electrical emergencies, switching off the affected breaker can keep things safe until we arrive.
